Design Services
Artwork can make or break a print job and how the design looks on the garment. Our Graphic Designer can assist with your artwork, whether you need file conversion, artwork reproductions or artwork created based on your ideas or sketches.
Color separations are needed for multi-color print work. For example, if you are creating an image with a white and red ink print, each color needs to be on its own separate layer in your document. We recomend illustrator vector artwork for best results. Each object in a vector file can be selected and individually manipulated from the rest of the image. Common file extensions for this type of file include .AI and .EPS.

Guidelines for Submitting Artwork
Preferred file types: Adobe CSS Illustrator (Vector) or Photoshop (Raster). File extensions are .AI or . PSD.
Accepted file types: .PSD, .JPG, .TIFF, .PNG, .PDF and .EPS or Hard Copy. Hard copy should be on a white background, 8.5 x 11 or smaller. All lines should be crisp and clear, pencil should be avoided.
Vector Art: most commonly in Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, CorelDraw. When providing such files, it is important to convert to curves or create outlines out of all text used. This ensures your text will look exactly the way you want it to look.
PC Files: All fonts must be converted to outlines.
MAC Files: All fonts must be converted to outlines or the font files and image links must be included, not embeded in the document.
CorelDraw: Save files as Adobe Illustrator.
Colors other than black should be spot colors, not process.
Adobe Photoshop (MAC/WinPC): Artwork created in Photoshop with text should be saved as .psd (with layers). Resolution should be 300 dpi. Image type should be BMP (Bitmap) or grayscale for black and white images.
Art Sizing: Image size should be at 100% of final print size. Keep in mind the size of the smallest shirt to be printed.
Maximum print area = 12" x 15"

Common Artwork Mistakes
JPG and GIF at 72 dpi are low resolution images for web display. We cannot work with art at such low resolutions. Even though on the computer monitor, these images appear crisp and clean, when printed the end result will be very poor, dotted and pixelated. Our staff can use these images for reference and reproduction only, not for final print.
Approval Process
Evolution Shirts will prep the artwork and email a .JPG proof for approval. A maximum of two revisions will be allowed to artwork without an additional art charge of $45/hour.
No job will be printed without customer approval.
